Julie Francom, student midwife and birth doula in Utah

The days of the one-size-fits-all birth are done; the overall birth experience has evolved over the years, especially for our generation, and I believe that the need for personalized, sensitive, and knowledgeable support in today’s birth world is becoming more and more necessary. It is my joy to provide that for you.

I see every parents’ journey as unique and to be approached with customized care to meet their individual needs. My specialization as a VBAC doula and experience with complicated birth situations will help you take control of your birth as I guide you through the intricacies of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. As a birth doula, I feel honored to be able to contribute my expertise and knowledge to parents and families in Utah (to learn more about my work with VBAC families, head over to The VBAC Link).

Welcome, I am so happy you stopped by for a visit. I am a small-town Utah girl turned soldier, computer geek, podcaster, doula and student midwife. Fun fact: I drink Pepsi like it’s water and you can pretty much get me to do anything by offering chocolate cake as incentive.

I currently have four kids under 7 years of age and live with my husband and our kiddos in Lehi, Utah. Complications at the end of my first pregnancy resulted in an emergency C-section four weeks before my due date. Baby number 2 was a VBAC at home with an amazing birth team, and VBAC doula it was very primal and instinctual and changed how I view birth, my babies, and myself. After this experience I realized that birth work was my calling. I wanted to help as many women as I could feel in control of their birth story, no matter how it unfolds. Since then, I have had two more VBACs and I am so glad to be able to support parents in Utah on their own birth journeys.
